- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 to $1,800
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
- Unit Type: Inpatient Med/Surg
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arkansas
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required; Med/Surg experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Strong communication, teamwork, and prioritization skills
- Comfort working with electronic charting systems, including Meditech preferred
- Willingness to float to all Med/Surg floors as needed
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, coordinate, and deliver individualized nursing care throughout the shift
- Identify actual and potential patient needs and develop organized, prioritized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care standards
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to emergency or life-threatening situations
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and education accurately and timely
- Delegate and supervise care assignments for LPNs, nursing assistants, and unit clerks as appropriate
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant patient care environment
- Support a collaborative care team with strong attention to quality and patient outcomes
