  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend; 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Shifts per week: 3 or 4 shifts per week, depending on schedule

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience on a Medical/Surgical unit
  • BLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
  • Ready to submit requested time off (RTO) at time of application

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care as a Medical/Surgical nurse in a fast-paced unit
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, perform clinical assessments, and escalate changes in condition
  • Administer medications safely and document care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and nursing standards of care
