Job Details
- Position: Med/Surg RN (Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Location: Wytheville, VA
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: No call required
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification required
- 1+ year of acute care experience required
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Must be comfortable floating within a 25-mile radius, as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and timely documentation
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient recovery
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Support unit needs and float when assigned within the approved radius
