- Duration: 20 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 - 19:30)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: As scheduled
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
- Med/Surg Telemetry or acute-care telemetry experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NIHSS certification required
- CPI certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Ability to float within specialty as needed
- Strong telemetry skills, including rhythm interpretation
- Comfortable working in a high-acuity, high-turnover ED boarder environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses
- Monitor telemetry and assess for changes in cardiac rhythm and patient condition
- Manage med/surg overflow patients in a busy ED boarder setting
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely, effective patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate patient updates clearly
- Support patient flow and adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume acute-care unit
- Float within specialty as needed to meet unit demands
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times
- Deliver compassionate bedside care while promoting positive patient outcomes
