Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Greenbrae, California
Join our healthcare team as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse for a rewarding 13-week travel nursing assignment in Greenbrae, California. Travel RN Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Location: Greenbrae, California
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: No call requirement
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- At least 1 year of acute-care nursing experience, including cardiac telemetry experience
- Experience caring for patients in Med/Surg Telemetry, Cardiac Care, or Cardiac Progressive Care settings
- Recent EPIC electronic health record experience
- Ability to float between Cardiac Care and Medical-Surgical units
- Strong patient assessment, communication, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical treatment
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, and clinical documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized treatment plans
- Float between Cardiac Care, with an approximate 4:1 patient ratio, and Med-Surg, with an approximate 5:1 patient ratio, based on unit needs
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning
- Work scheduled night shifts and every other weekend while maintaining high standards of patient safety and professionalism
