Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Kentucky Registered Nurse license or Compact Registered Nurse license
- At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse experience
- Level I or Level II trauma experience required
- Associate degree or nursing certificate required
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Successful completion of an EKG assessment during the compliance process
- Experience with CareView and/or Epic preferred
- Ability to float throughout inpatient units and assist with patient care support duties when needed
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with established protocols.
- Complete focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and patient education.
- Recognize and promptly respond to clinical deterioration and emergent patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Float to Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and other inpatient areas based on staffing and patient-care needs.
- Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment.
