Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
- Location: Pikeville, Kentucky
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week, excluding applicable orientation and facility-closure exceptions
- Scheduling: No blocked scheduling; every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Work Setting: On-site inpatient care with floating across Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
- Patient Assignment: Approximately 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN Requirements
- Active Kentucky or Compact Registered Nurse license
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
- Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
- Associate degree or nursing certificate
- Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Successful completion of an EKG examination during the compliance process
- Care-view or Epic charting experience preferred; on-site training may be available
- Adaptable, dependable, resilient, and collaborative approach to patient care
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
- Assess patients, administer medications, perform treatments, and evaluate responses to care
- Float throughout inpatient areas based on operational needs and provide support with patient-care activities as assigned
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and fellow nurses to coordinate individualized care
- Support a safe, respectful, and efficient care environment during nights, weekends, and holidays
