Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry 13-Week Contract in Red Bud, Illinois
Join a collaborative medical-surgical and telemetry nursing team in Red Bud, Illinois, as a travel RN providing acute-care for adult patients in an on-site hospital. Travel RN Job Details

Travel Nurse Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of medical-surgical and telemetry registered nursing experience
- At least 2 completed travel nursing assignments
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
- Associate degree or nursing certificate as required for the assignment
- Medhost charting experience preferred; training will be provided
- Ability to work independently, manage change effectively, and provide dependable patient care during overnight shifts
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts
- Assess patients, monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and promptly identify changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with LPNs and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Medhost
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
- Prioritize care effectively in a 5-6:1 patient assignment while maintaining high standards of patient safety and compassion
