Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
- At least 2 years of recent acute care, medical-surgical, and telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
- Telemetry monitoring experience with the ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are welcome
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to acute medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status, escalating significant changes promptly
- Complete patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective treatment
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and discharge needs
- Prioritize care for multiple patients while maintaining accurate, timely documentation
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to established clinical standards
