Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- End Date: February 14, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
- Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital medical-surgical telemetry unit
Med-Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Multistate Compact Registered Nurse license, when applicable
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for assigned medical-surgical telemetry patients
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate members of the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards and provider orders
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary professionals to coordinate quality patient care
- Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and care coordination accurately and in a timely manner
- Delegate and oversee patient care activities performed by nursing support staff in accordance with applicable policies and professional standards
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to professional nursing practice standards
