• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1840 - $1940 (Travel nurse pay)
• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama (35401) — Alabama nursing jobs, Tuscaloosa healthcare
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 26, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00–19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or equivalent
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact license accepted (No temporary licenses)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• 2 years experience required; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of RECENT experience in the field of specialty
• Experience with trauma, post-surgical, ortho, or urology patients preferred
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for acute trauma and surgical patients, including ortho and urology cases
• Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced Trauma Surgical Unit
• Collaborate with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists to coordinate patient care
• Deliver individualized nursing care for patients hospitalized for illness, surgery, testing, or observation
• Document care and manage patient information using Meditech EMR
• Float to other units and hospitals as required by staffing needs
• Work every other weekend and cover holidays as needed
