Locum Tenens Neurologist (Neurology Physician) – Outpatient Neurology in Jonesboro, Georgia
Join an on-site outpatient neurology practice in Jonesboro, Georgia, for a locum tenens physician opportunity beginning November 9, 2026. Neurologist Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
- At least 1 year of clinical experience practicing neurology
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology, consistent with credentialing requirements
- Active, unrestricted physician license appropriate for practice in Georgia
- Current ABLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient communication skills
- EMG experience is welcomed and may be considered an advantage
Outpatient Neurology Physician Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions
- Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology consultations and follow-up care
- Perform or interpret appropriate diagnostic studies and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Use experience with EMG, nerve conduction studies, EEG, lumbar puncture, and other neurologic procedures when clinically indicated
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and ongoing care
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and meet applicable practice standards
