- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required, based on department needs
- Floating: May be asked to float to postpartum or nearby sister facilities as needed
- Charting System: Epic preferred
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent NICU or related neonatal nursing experience required
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Compact RN license required at time of submission if applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- STABLE certification required
- Experience with neonatal care, ventilator support, and neonatal line management preferred
- Ability to work 3 of the 5 major holidays as needed by department policy
- Two professional references covering the last 1 year of experience within the past 3 years
- Willingness to float when needed and adapt to unit scheduling requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to neonates in a Level II NICU setting
- Monitor and manage infants 32 weeks gestation and above, including stabilization for transfer when needed
- Support high-risk deliveries and collaborate with the care team to promote positive outcomes
- Manage CPAP, UAC/UVC lines, and high-flow respiratory support as clinically appropriate
- Care for infants requiring neonatal respiratory support and close observation
- Provide breastfeeding support and assistance with breast milk handling
- Deliver family-centered care while supporting the needs of newborns and their parents
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established unit protocols and safety practices
