Travel Nursing Job Details

- Orientation: Mandatory weekday orientation during the first two weeks, including 8-hour days
NICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of Level III NICU nursing experience
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse license, or willingness to obtain one before the assignment begins
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Ability to provide compassionate, clinically sound nursing care to critically ill neonates
- Ability to float, when needed, to age-appropriate Pediatric or PICU assignments
- Willingness to comply with mandatory orientation and scheduling requirements
NICU Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatal nursing care to infants in a Level III NICU
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responses to treatment, and changes in clinical status
- Administer medications and treatments safely using established protocols and Pyxis technology
- Coordinate care with neonatologists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Support parents and families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation in EPIC
- Recognize and respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Float to age-appropriate Pediatric or PICU areas when required by unit needs
