- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Setting: Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Schedule: Day and night rotations; weekend coverage as needed
- Float Requirement: May float to care for patients under 12 months of age, including pediatric critical care areas
- Patient Population: Neonates with high-acuity medical and surgical needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of NICU III/IV experience, including at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU
- Current BLS and NRP certification from AHA
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation
- Strong background in neonatal critical care and family-centered nursing
- Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule and float when needed
- Telemetry interpretation skills are required prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care for critically ill newborns and infants from admission through discharge
- Monitor and support neonates requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Manage complex respiratory support, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and other neonatal ventilation modes
- Care for infants recovering from surgical procedures and those with congenital, neurologic, metabolic, or cardiac conditions
- Administer medications, monitor clinical status, and respond to changes in patient condition with precision and urgency
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Support and educate families while delivering compassionate, developmentally appropriate care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
