Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of total NICU III/IV experience
  • At least 1 full year of Level IV NICU experience
  • BLS and NRP certification through AHA
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience caring for post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and float as needed to care for patients under 12 months of age
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill neonates from admission through discharge
  • Support infants with complex medical and surgical conditions, including those requiring advanced respiratory support
  • Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to evolving clinical needs in the NICU
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality pediatric care
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to NICU standards and hospital protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic charting system
  • Educate and support families throughout the continuum of neonatal intensive care
  • Float as needed to support care for infants across pediatric units when required
