NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Assignment in Santa Rosa, California

Join a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Santa Rosa, California as a travel Registered Nurse providing compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill and premature newborns. NICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the past 3 years
  • Recent experience as a NICU Registered Nurse in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse license valid in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
  • Seven years of recent Level III NICU experience within the past 10 years preferred

NICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex newborns in a Level III NICU
  • Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and promptly recognize changes in neonatal condition
  • Administer medications and treatments while following established clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Support neonatal resuscitation and stabilization as clinically indicated
  • Educate and support families throughout the infant’s hospitalization
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively during handoffs
  • Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and high-quality neonatal outcomes
