Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a NICU, neonatal ICU, or relevant specialty (neonatal care, critical care newborns)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred)
  • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required (PA RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional neonatal certifications a plus
  • Professional education, training, or specialty certifications may be required per unit

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct neonatal nursing care for critically ill and premature infants in a Level III NICU
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans under the direction of licensed physicians
  • Apply current nursing principles, neonatal protocols, and evidence-based practices in NICU settings
  • Collaborate with families, interdisciplinary team members, and peers to support family-centered care
  • Supervise and direct nursing support staff in accordance with nursing standards and departmental policies
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient safety, and quality improvement standards
