Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in NICU or relevant neonatal specialty
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred or facility-specific certifications as required
  • Professional education, training, or additional certifications may be required by specialty area

Responsibilities

  • Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned NICU patients under the direction of licensed physicians — neonatal nursing assessments and treatment planning
  • Apply principles, theories, and current methods of nursing practice in a Level III NICU setting
  • Provide family-centered care and collaborate with patients, families, professional peers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to individualize patient care
  • Direct and mentor nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to standards of nursing practice and departmental policies
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including EMR/charting, and uphold patient safety and quality standards
