- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Gastroenterology Clinic

- Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Shifts per Week: 5
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Call: No call required
- Patient Volume: Approximately 18 patients per day
- EMR: Epic
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience required
- Recent Gastroenterology experience required
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Active California Nurse Practitioner license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work in an on-site outpatient clinic setting
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient follow-up skills
Responsibilities
- Provide clinic-based gastroenterology care with no procedural responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient consultations and evaluations
- Review pathology results and communicate follow-up recommendations to patients
- Manage medications and treatment plans within scope of practice
- Complete inbox management and follow-up care coordination
- Deliver general GI consultations and ongoing outpatient support
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care
