Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT) – Columbus, OH. 13-week travel contract; ARRT or NMTCB and valid Ohio license required. Join a leading medical center performing high-volume oncologic PET/CT scans.

  • Role: Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist / PET/CT Technologist
  • Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus, Ohio healthcare job)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (June 29, 2026 – September 28, 2026)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,450 – $2,630
  • Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts (start times 6:00 AM–9:30 AM; flexible)
  • Optional: 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks
  • Additional Shifts: 1 evening shift & 1 Saturday per month
  • Federal Holidays: Off
  • Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient nuclear medicine (adults, geriatrics; adolescents preferred)
  • Caseload: ~33 PET/CT scans daily, primarily oncology cases

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or PET/CT Technologist
  • ARRT (N or R) or NMTCB certification (one required)
  • Valid Ohio state license for Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • BLS certification (AHA preferred)
  • Proficient with PET/CT procedures, general nuclear medicine, and IV starts
  • Experience with PACS and Epic charting system preferred
  • Ability to work both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • 2 professional references (at least 1 supervisor/manager)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform PET/CT and general nuclear medicine procedures including whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging
  • Operate PET/CT scanners (2 on site) with a focus on oncologic imaging and diagnostic quality
  • Start and maintain IVs as needed for radiotracer administration
  • Accurately document procedures, doses, and patient information in Epic and PACS
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in scheduled coverage: 1 evening shift and 1 Saturday per month
  • Adhere to radiation safety, state regulations, and institutional policies
  • Support a positive, team-oriented clinical environment and assist with workflow efficiency
