OB/GYN Registered Nurse (Travel RN) opportunity in Jackson, MS — 15-week travel assignment in a 10-bed OB/GYN Emergency/Triage unit supporting L&D, obstetrics, and female health emergencies. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent L&D / OB/GYN nursing experience required (Labor & Delivery RN, OB triage)
- Active RN license (state license submission allowed; agency will wait for license issuance)
- EPIC charting proficiency required — no EPIC training provided on assignment
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- ER experience is a plus for OB emergency and triage cases
Key Responsibilities
- Provide triage and emergency care to female patients, including OB/GYN and L&D presentations
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:3) to ensure high-quality care
- Rotate weekends and holidays with permanent staff as required
- Adhere to safety, compliance, and acute care protocols in obstetric and triage settings
