Travel Obstetrics Registered Nurse (OB RN) – 13-Week Contract in Machias, Maine

Obstetrics RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of acute care Registered Nurse experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Current STABLE certification
- Successful completion of general nursing and unit orientation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Compliance with applicable state-mandated COVID-19 vaccination requirements
OB RN Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, individualized nursing care using the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate care for obstetric and gynecologic patients.
- Care for patients in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and postoperative gynecology areas.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, nursing competency, and effective patient-teaching skills.
- Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to the care team and charge nurse.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other hospital departments.
- Manage supplies and equipment while supporting a safe, organized care environment.
- Protect patient confidentiality and follow policies related to professional conduct, advance directives, and accessibility.
- Support quality improvement efforts and the delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care.
