Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid for assignment)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or OBGYN nursing experience — experience as a Labor and Delivery RN preferred
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Ability to work night shifts and perform in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills for maternal health and newborn care

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns — maternal and newborn nursing
• Perform triage assessments and Non-Stress Tests (NSTs) as needed
• Serve as second nurse and assist with overflow cases and deliveries
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care
• Manage patients with pregnancy or childbirth complications and escalate per protocol
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold unit safety and quality standards
