- Practice Setting: Inpatient and on-call OB/GYN coverage
- Start Date: October 1, 2026
- End Date: November 7, 2026
- Assignment Length: Approximately 5 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,780 - $6,850
- Call Coverage: 24-hour call blocks with specific dates provided
- Average Delivery Volume: Approximately 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
- Clinical Support: Hospitalist support, 24/7 anesthesiology support, and 24/7 radiology support
- Facilities: Level I nursery with on-site postpartum and labor support
Job Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active North Carolina medical license
- Active North Carolina DEA with North Carolina address
- North Carolina Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment
- Fully vaccinated
- Recent hospital case logs available for review
- No recent or open malpractice cases; details must be included in submission
- Disciplinary history must be disclosed
- Physician must be within 20 minutes of the facility per bylaws
- At least 1 year of recent OB/GYN clinical experience required
- Must be actively delivering babies and able to provide case logs from the past 24 months
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for obstetrics and gynecology
- Round on patients and manage laboring patients as needed
- Respond to emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
- Support emergent gynecologic procedures when needed
- Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds
- Manage low-risk pregnancies and routine deliveries
- Make clinical decisions for C-sections and manage complicated deliveries, including breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Perform office and minor gynecology procedures such as IUD care, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
- Support surgical gynecology procedures as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, timely, high-quality patient care
