Required Qualifications
- Certification in outpatient coding (e.g., CPC or CCS-P)
- Minimum 3 years of oncology coding experience with a focus on injection and infusion (I/I) services
- Proficiency with Epic and 3M coding/billing systems
- Strong knowledge of outpatient regulatory guidelines, payer rules, and compliance for oncology coding
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately code outpatient oncology services with emphasis on injection and infusion therapies (I/I coding)
- Support billing for high-complexity oncology cases to maximize accurate reimbursement
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific coding and documentation guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical teams, nurses, and billing staff to resolve coding and documentation queries
- Maintain productivity standards (target: 12 charts/hour) while preserving coding accuracy
- Document coding decisions and escalate complex cases as needed
