- Setting: Acute Care Inpatient Oncology Unit (Inpatient Oncology RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse (Oncology RN)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours weekly) — Night Shift RN
- Schedule: 7pm – 7am (varies)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in inpatient oncology or medical-surgical nursing (Oncology RN preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- ACLS certification
- Chemo certification is not required
- No local candidates within 50 miles
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to oncology patients in an acute inpatient setting as an Oncology RN
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Perform assessments, document clinical care, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, symptom management, and discharge instructions
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
