- Schedule: Monday-Friday with a rotating day off
- Shift Duration: 10-hour days, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Call: One rotating call day per week
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 - $1,940
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room, surgical first assist, or surgical technologist role
- Current BLS certification
- NBSTSA certification
- Strong scrubbing experience required
- Experience with cardiovascular surgery and vein harvesting preferred
- Ability to support complex surgical cases including orthopedic, neuro, general, vascular, urology, ENT, and robotic procedures
- Comfort working in a fast-paced surgical services environment with rotating call
- Travel surgical experience is welcome, and first-time travelers may be considered
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons with a wide range of operative procedures in the operating room
- Provide first assist support for CABG cases, including on-pump and off-pump procedures, VATS, and valve replacements
- Perform vein harvesting for cardiovascular cases
- Maintain sterile technique and support a safe, efficient surgical workflow
- Prepare and manage instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist with case setup, patient positioning, and intraoperative support
- Support a broad mix of cases across general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, GYN, vascular, urology, and robotics
- Participate in call coverage and contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused surgical team
