Seeking an experienced Operating Room Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Arcata, California. Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week, except during holiday weeks

Operating Room Tech Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Surgical Technologist, Surgical Technologist, or OR Tech
- Experience performing scrub duties in operating room and surgical settings
- Ability to perform and support endoscopy cases
- Current surgical technologist certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Ability to work weekday daytime shifts and participate in shared evening and weekend call
Surgical Technologist Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
- Perform scrub duties while maintaining a sterile field throughout surgical cases
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team during procedures
- Support a range of operating room cases, including endoscopy procedures
- Complete instrument, sponge, and supply counts according to established surgical safety practices
- Assist with room turnover, equipment readiness, and efficient operating room workflow
- Participate in shared evening and weekend call coverage
