Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of operating room experience required
- Previous First Assist experience in a surgical setting preferred
- Current CST or ORT certification required
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room workflows
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
- Maintain a sterile field and support safe, efficient operating room operations
- Provide First Assist support during surgical cases as needed
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members
- Collaborate with OR staff to promote high-quality patient care and positive patient outcomes
- Follow established operating room protocols, infection control standards, and safety procedures
