- Assignment Type: Travel Surgical Technologist / OR Tech
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 - $1,750
- Schedule: Weekdays, 4 days per week, with a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Call Requirements: No call
- Additional Schedule Notes: May include weekends, holidays, and an occasional extra shift based on department needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Operating Room and Trauma setting
- Prior travel experience required
- Current CST or ORT certification
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment
- Willingness to complete a pre-start CMP blood panel
- Strong hand-eye coordination and sterile technique
- Ability to adapt to changing case needs, surgeon preferences, and room turnover demands
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room with the proper equipment, instruments, and supplies for each procedure
- Maintain sterility of the surgical field throughout the case
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist under direct supervision with tasks such as suctioning, retracting, irrigation, and dressing application
- Support room turnover by cleaning, organizing, and preparing instrumentation for the next case
- Inspect equipment and report any malfunctioning or damaged items
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other surgical team members
- Provide technical patient care in support of adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
