  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,520 - $2,650

  • Shift Duration: 10 hour days
  • Shift Pattern: Day shift coverage with start times that may vary; weekend coverage required
  • Shifts per Week: Typically 3 shifts per week
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Setting: Acute care hospital, operating room
  • Call: Limited to coverage for call-offs only
  • Floating: May float within scope to like units as needed

Job Requirements

  • Active Alaska RN license in hand required for immediate consideration
  • 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS preferred
  • CNOR preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience supporting a broad range of surgical cases preferred, including general, neuro, ortho, vascular, gyn, ENT, urology, thoracic, pediatrics, and trauma
  • Ability to work weekends and selected major holidays as required
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Previous perioperative nursing experience in a fast-paced acute care environment strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and the surgical environment for a wide variety of procedures
  • Support intraoperative patient care, monitoring, and teamwork with surgeons and anesthesia providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic throughout the surgical workflow
  • Assist with circulating responsibilities and surgical case coordination
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support efficient room turnover and exceptional patient outcomes
  • Adapt to a diverse case mix that may include trauma, pediatrics, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, ENT, urology, and more
  • Follow safety, infection prevention, and sterile technique standards at all times
