Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.   • Schedule: Day shifts; 4 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM (3 10-hour shifts Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday may be considered)

  • Weekend Requirement: No weekends
  • Hours Per Week: 40
  • Setting: Ambulatory surgery center with 6 OR rooms and 4 PACU rooms

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a surgical or perioperative setting
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • ACLS certification required
  • Strong perioperative nursing skills, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op support
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical supplies for procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to support safe, efficient operations
  • Monitor patient status and maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Ensure adherence to sterile technique, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols
  • Support smooth patient flow between the OR and PACU environments
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while maintaining efficiency in a busy surgery center
