Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Travel Contract in Philadelphia, PA
Experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This OR RN job is ideal for a perioperative nurse who excels in a fast-paced surgical environment and is confident in both scrub and circulate roles. - Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
- Start Date: 9/14/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Schedule: Weekend position, Friday/Saturday/Sunday
- Orientation: 8 hours
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license required at time of submission
- Recent Level II Trauma experience required
- Scrub and circulate experience required
- Experience with vascular, neuro, orthopedic, trauma, podiatry, and general OR cases required
- Robotics experience required, including urology procedures
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Trauma certification required; TNCC accepted
- Community hospital experience required
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
- Pulmonary procedure experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for adult and geriatric patients
- Perform both scrub and circulate duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Support complex procedures including trauma, open vascular, endovascular, neuro, orthopedic, podiatry, general, and urology cases
- Assist with robotic surgical procedures, particularly in urology
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document patient care accurately using Epic
- Respond effectively in high-acuity and trauma-focused surgical situations while maintaining quality patient care standards
