Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant Operating Room nursing experience required
- Experience with Epic charting preferred/required
- Strong knowledge of OR nursing practices, patient safety, and infection control
- Ability to work variable start times between 0700 and 0830 based on department needs
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain privacy, professionalism, and attention to detail in a surgical setting
Operating Room RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room and support outpatient endoscopy procedures
- Assist with ambulatory surgical cases, colonoscopy, EGD, conscious sedation monitoring, and specimen handling/labeling
- Follow Universal Protocol and time-out procedures to ensure safe patient care
- Support code response, fire safety, and infection control practices
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record using Epic
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote efficient patient flow and positive outcomes
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy surgical services environment
