Travel Operating Room RN Job Details
- Location: Thomasville, Georgia
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment with potential for extension
- Start Date: November 23, 2026
- End Date: February 22, 2027
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Call: Every other weekday following the scheduled shift; approximately four weekend call assignments during the contract
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Operating Room Details: Approximately 11 rooms and 25 visits per day
- Documentation: SIS electronic medical record
- Scrubs: Provided
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing or perioperative nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience circulating surgical procedures required
- Ability to provide safe, effective care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Minimal requested time off is preferred; all requested time off should be disclosed during the submission process
Travel OR Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care throughout the perioperative experience.
- Circulate surgical procedures while maintaining aseptic technique and supporting patient safety standards.
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary support teams.
- Support procedures across specialties including neurologic, orthopedic, urologic, general, vascular, ENT, OB/GYN, bariatric, robotic, and limited plastic surgery cases.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation in the SIS electronic medical record.
- Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call coverage according to the assignment schedule.
- Promote a calm, organized, and patient-centered operating room environment.
