• Shift: Night shift, Friday – Sunday, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)

• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative nursing, surgical RN)
• Required experience with craniotomy and burr hole procedures (neuro OR experience)
• Preferred certifications: CNOR, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Experience with Allscripts or Altera charting systems preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred; previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete facility drug screen upon arrival (including marijuana) and required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics surgical cases
• Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures and other neurosurgical cases
• Assist with robotic-assisted procedures using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and perform circulating/scrub duties for appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, spinal fusion, joint replacement, and trauma cases
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records using electronic charting systems (Allscripts/Altera)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Ensure patient safety, surgical site infection prevention, and high-quality perioperative care across all age groups
• Participate in orientation, complete required modules, and support onboarding of team members as needed
