Travel OR RN Requirements

• Basic competency in most surgical services; strong perioperative skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for a diverse range of surgical cases (excluding major pediatric and transplant cases)
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs in a fast-paced OR environment
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and uphold compliance standards
• Participate in call rotation on average every 7th weekend; no call during the week. Two specialty teams (ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic) take call every night; travelers would only take call for these teams if these cases are within their competency. 30-minute response time required.
• Demonstrate proficiency and flexibility across multiple surgical specialties and procedures
• Attend one week of floor-specific orientation and integrate quickly into the surgical team
• Advocate for patient safety and uphold evidence-based perioperative standards
