- Weekend Commitment: 4 shifts total across two separate weekends
- Charting: Any charting system experience accepted
Job Requirements
- Active Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with a variety of surgical services preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment with a strong focus on patient safety and teamwork
- Must be willing to follow facility policies, orientation requirements, and traveler compliance guidelines
Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Support surgical cases in specialties including general surgery, neuro/spine, orthopedics, urology, GYN, plastics, breast, eyes, pulmonology, and robotics
- Maintain a safe surgical environment by following universal protocol, fire safety, infection control, and specimen handling standards
- Assist with intraoperative procedures, including blood and blood product administration and use of specialized surgical equipment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote efficient case flow
- Adapt to variable case volumes and contribute to a positive, patient-centered surgical experience
- Float to like units within scope when needed based on facility needs
