Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in hand
- Minimum of 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Ability to successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam
- Flexible availability for night shift scheduling
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic patients in an acute care inpatient setting
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and communicate effectively with the care team
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Support pre- and post-operative recovery for orthopedic surgery patients
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to promote safe, effective care
- Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach throughout each shift
