Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 - $2,310
• Location: San Leandro, CA 94578 (Bay Area / Alameda County)
• Position: Outpatient Physical Therapist – Travel assignment
• Setting: Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic / outpatient rehab
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 15, 2026 – September 14, 2026)
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Site Position
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Float: Flexibility to float between outpatient and inpatient units as needed

Job Requirements

• Valid California Physical Therapist License (required at time of submission)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience (2 years preferred; will consider 1 year if within desired specialty)
• Experience treating neurological and orthopedic diagnoses
• Proficiency with assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, vitals, and comprehensive documentation (assessment, evaluation, discharge, long-term goals, plan of care)
• Charge experience preferred
• Experience with EMR documentation preferred
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult patients with neurological and orthopedic diagnoses in an outpatient clinic setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and long-term goals
• Utilize and instruct on assistive devices and ensure proper body mechanics during therapy sessions
• Monitor pain levels, vital signs, functional mobility, and patient progress
• Document assessments, evaluations, discharge plans, and reassessments accurately and timely
• Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs and rehabilitation strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float to other units as needed
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:9
