We are seeking a PACU Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience to support a busy recovery unit in Colville, WA. - Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:00)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
- On-Call: Yes, 1-2 weeknights per week and 1 weekend per month
- Orientation: Included prior to start
- Charting System: Epic experience required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for the assignment location
- At least 1 year of PACU or related perioperative recovery experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience with Phase I and Phase II recovery
- Strong knowledge of dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Comfort with ventilated patient care and conscious sedation recovery
- Experience using Epic required
- Ability to support a wide range of post-op cases, including neuro, ortho, vascular, ENT, ophthalmology, GI, GYN, and bariatric recovery
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia and sedation in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
- Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and neurologic recovery
- Support Phase I and Phase II PACU patients with varying acuity levels
- Assess and manage recovery from procedures involving general, local, MAC, spinal, epidural, and nerve block anesthesia
- Administer and monitor blood products, IV drips, reversal agents, and pain control medications as needed
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, respiratory changes, and other post-anesthesia complications
- Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols for patient safety and recovery
