• Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center – Prep & Recovery Unit (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Location: Lebanon, NH 03756 — New Hampshire nursing job / Upper Valley
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (07:00 – 15:30)
• Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,370 - $2,500 per week

Job Requirements (PACU RN Qualifications)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (must be eligible to practice in New Hampshire)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a PACU, post-anesthesia care, or recovery nursing role
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented outpatient surgery center

Responsibilities (PACU Nurse / Post-Anesthesia Care)

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the Outpatient Surgery Center
• Perform post-anesthesia assessments, monitor vital signs, and track recovery progress using standard PACU protocols
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including pain management and antiemetics
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient status, manage airway and basic life support when necessary
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure safe transitions of care
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge criteria, and follow-up instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care, recovery milestones, and discharge summaries
