PCU Travel Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice in Virginia
  • At least 1 year of professional nursing experience
  • Progressive care, step-down, telemetry, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
  • Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts each week
  • Current required nursing credentials and facility-specific documentation prior to start

Progressive Care Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a progressive care and acute-care setting
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
  • Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
  • Complete patient assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Support safe transitions of care and promote positive patient outcomes
