Job Requirements (PCU RN / Stepdown RN / Travel Nurse)

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown RN experience (progressive care, telemetry or stepdown units)
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC charting system experience required (experience with EPIC preferred)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Clinical skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, insulin drip titration, arterial line care, central/PICC/peripheral line care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, ABG interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, pre/post hemodialysis, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, feeding tube care, wound care/wound vac
• Experience on rapid response/code teams and using isolation precautions/PPE
• Two professional references required (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Primary Responsibilities (Progressive Care / Telemetry RN)

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU and stepdown units
• Float between units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed across campus locations
• Manage patient ratios typically 1:3–4 in a progressive care/telemetry setting
• Perform and monitor specialized progressive care procedures and equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV therapy, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic medical record
• Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and institutional policies
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and family support
