Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 26, 2026 (flexible: April 27 or May 11)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 – $2,090 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Olathe, KS 66061 — Kansas nursing jobs / Olathe healthcare jobs
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Based on unit needs (July 4th required)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Critical Care, ICU, or progressive care nursing (PCU)
• Clinical experience with CRRT, Bipap, chest tubes, and PICC lines
• Comfortable independently running codes and managing consults (no vascular access team)
• Active Kansas RN or Compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to float to ICU and all inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, ED) as needed
• Not a new graduate; solid critical care clinical judgment required
• Willingness to attend scheduled orientation, including virtual Epic EMR training

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to patients in the PCU
• Independently manage critical care interventions: CRRT, Bipap, chest tubes, PICC lines
• Draw labs, interpret results, and respond to patient codes and consults
• Float to other inpatient units as required and adapt to varied patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in required orientation and ongoing training to support professional development
