Job Details
- Location: Rock Island, IL 61201 — Quad Cities, scenic riverfronts and Midwest community (Illinois travel nursing)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 – $2,200 (travel RN pay)
- Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM start (every other weekend required)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center — Progressive Care Unit / Med?Surg
- Employment Type: Travel RN (Progressive Care Unit RN, PCU RN)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent PCU/Med?Surg Registered Nurse (RN) experience
- Active RN license in Illinois (Iowa license accepted on offer)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- Clinical proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
- Experience titrating critical medications (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred (electronic medical records experience)
- Must have a taxable address outside 50 miles from the facility
- Submission materials required: Driver’s license, work history/resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, certifications, and one supervisory reference
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU RN responsibilities)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
- Manage and monitor patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory support
- Administer and titrate critical medications and manage specialized equipment
- Document care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development (travel nurse orientation and continuing education)
