• Location: Johnstown, PA 15905
• Setting: Hospital-based Level III NICU with outpatient clinic coverage
• Schedule: Ongoing locum tenens coverage, one week per month
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,780-$6,850
• Call: 24/7 call coverage when assigned, with a 20-minute response time
• Start Date: January 1, 2027
• End Date: January 2, 2027
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
• EMR: Epic
• Clinical Environment: Level III NICU with an average daily census of 9-11 infants

Job Requirements

• Board certified physician required
• At least 1 year of experience in pediatrics or neonatal-perinatal medicine preferred
• Fellowship training in neonatal-perinatal medicine preferred
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain privileges in a timely manner
• Current ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Strong experience caring for Level III NICU patients and high-risk newborns
• Comfort with inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic participation, and call coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient NICU coverage, including daily rounds and ongoing patient management
• Attend high-risk deliveries and high-risk C-sections as needed
• Participate in outpatient clinic coverage while maintaining NICU responsibilities
• Manage neonatal ventilation, advanced airway needs, and NICU procedures as appropriate
• Perform and interpret evaluations for critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU
• Coordinate patient care with the broader multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure safe, efficient treatment
• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic and maintain timely communication during call
