Hospital Pharmacist Travel Contract Job in York, Pennsylvania
We are seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week travel pharmacist assignment in York, PA. This hospital pharmacy job is an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist with inpatient or outpatient oncology experience and strong IV preparation skills, including hazardous and non-hazardous medications. - Duration: 13-week travel contract
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 5
- Hours: Scheduled between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd or 4th Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
- Floating: May float to a nearby affiliated site within the local area
Hospital Pharmacist Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience required
- Recent inpatient pharmacy or outpatient oncology pharmacy experience required
- Experience with IV preparation, including hazardous and non-hazardous medications
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
- EPIC Beacon experience required
- Ability to support safe medication practices
- Comfortable caring for patients in settings that may include COVID-positive populations
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital and pharmacy standards
- Compound and verify IV medications, including hazardous and non-hazardous preparations
- Support oncology pharmacy workflows in inpatient or outpatient settings
- Review medication orders for accuracy, safety, and clinical appropriateness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC Beacon system
- Provide coverage across assigned pharmacy areas and float locally as needed
- Follow all safety, regulatory, and infection prevention protocols
