Project Manager Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred, or 7 years of progressive project management experience including at least 3 years leading enterprise-level projects or programs
- Minimum 3 years of experience mentoring, coaching, or leading project managers or cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale enterprise programs with organization-wide scope and impact
- Experience working within a formal Project Management Office (PMO) environment
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership
- Proficiency with ServiceNow, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft Project, and project portfolio management tools
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Preferred certifications include PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-PMOCP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent
Lead Program Manager Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and complex programs consisting of multiple interrelated projects with enterprise-wide visibility and impact
- Guide multidisciplinary teams across clinical, operational, executive, and IT functions
- Provide mentorship and indirect leadership to project managers, supporting planning quality, risk mitigation, and documentation standards
- Develop portfolio-level tracking, metrics, and reporting frameworks to monitor performance and identify dependencies
- Facilitate project intake, prioritization, and governance processes through steering committees and leadership structures
- Translate strategic goals into actionable charters, scope documents, and implementation plans
- Drive stakeholder engagement, communication, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead change management planning and support continuous improvement of project management methodologies, standards, and tools
- Identify enterprise-wide risks, resource constraints, and barriers, and escalate critical issues with recommended solutions
- Serve as a liaison between executive sponsors and project teams to ensure accountability, transparency, and alignment
